A new prefectural library has opened in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture.
The nickname of the new prefectural library is 「Hyakumangoku Bibliobaum」.

The library will open on July 16, and boasts one of the nation’s largest collections of 2.3 million books.
In addition to reading books, the library also features a variety of events and exhibition projects.
On the first floor of the circulation area, 40,000 books selected under six themes are on display as the 「Blessings of the Village, Scent of Culture – Ishikawa Collection」, mainly books about the traditional culture of Ishikawa Prefecture.
Visitors may rediscover new charms of Ishikawa Prefecture.
There are also events for parents and children to enjoy, such as a programming experience, an exhibition of ghostly dolls, and dinosaur mascot making, so the whole family may enjoy spending a day together.
