From February 21 to 24, actor Hiroshi Tachi served food in Himi City and Wajima City in Ishikawa Prefecture in areas affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake. Tate is well known for his role as Hijikata Toshizo in the movie 『Golden Comey』, but his appearance at the soup kitchen had a different aura.
*Kanazawa City is also accepting donations for the Noto Peninsula earthquake disaster. Please refer to the information in the latter half of this page.
The soup kitchen cultivated by Ishihara Productions is back.
Mr. Hiroshi Tachi filmed a movie at a fishing port in Himi City and in Wajima City in November and December last year. Since the Noto Peninsula earthquake occurred on New Year’s Day, he visited both cities in February for a soup kitchen and exchange activities.
Mr. Tate has been serving meals as 「Genki Shokudo」 in various disaster-stricken areas during his time as Ishihara Productions. He had not done so since the dissolution of Ishihara Productions, but has revived it as a way of 「returning the favor」 to the two cities.
In greeting the assembled people, he said, 「I may have failed at yakisoba! I also failed at oden!」 I failed at oden, too!
On social networking sites, locals are posting about the 「Genki Shokudo」 restaurant.
As for Hiroshi Tachi, he said, 「His aura was amazing!」 and Takashi Sasano’s impression was that he 「blended in too well」.
Also noted for his role as Hijikata Toshizo in 『Kinkamu』
Hiroshi Tachi plays the role of Hijikata Toshizo in the live-action film 『Golden Kamui』 (released on January 19, 2024).
After all, he is Hijikata Toshizo of the Shinsengumi, so he must have a considerable presence to serve in this role.
Mr. Tate’s aura and acting ability that exceeded expectations may well have convinced fans of the original work.
That’s why we are likely to see a gap between the friendly face he showed in 「Genki Shokudo」 and the one he has in Genki Shokudo.
