Three months have passed since the Noto Peninsula earthquake that rocked Japan on New Year’s Day. On March 28, Ishikawa Prefecture announced a 「Creative Reconstruction Plan」 for full restoration of infrastructure at a meeting of the Headquarters for Restoration and Reconstruction. While reconstruction support efforts are underway, including calls for donations not only by the government but also by stores and individuals, events at Kanazawa Mza are attracting attention.
Reconstruction support Buy and support!
Reconstruction is now in full swing in the areas affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake. Many stores in the affected areas are still unable to sell their products since the earthquake.
Reconstruction Assistance Event 『Buy and Support, Eat and Cheer! Eat and Cheer! Noto/Kaga Furusato Festival』 was planned to support businesses affected by the disaster.
Twenty stores, mainly in Noto, are participating, and many of them were able to open their stores for the first time since the earthquake.
Sweets and wines made from local ingredients, Wajima lacquerware and Kutani ware, marine products such as Ishiruboshi, and agricultural products such as log shiitake mushrooms are also available.
*This event will be held until April 8, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to relief efforts.
