The 「User Card Pre-registration Session」 will be held from July 2 (Sat.) at the new Ishikawa Prefectural Library, which many people are eagerly awaiting to open.
Pre-registration requires preparation
The Ishikawa Prefectural Library, which has been closed since November 1, 2011 and moved from Honda-machi to Kodatsuno, is now preparing for its reopening.
About a month later, on July 16 (Sat.), the new Ishikawa Prefectural Library will open its doors.
Prior to the opening of the library, the Ishikawa Prefectural Library will hold user card pre-registration sessions on July 2 (Sat), 3 (Sun), 9 (Sat), and 10 (Sun) from 10:00 to 16:00 (last registration: 15:00).
There will be two registration methods as follows
To apply electronically, use the QR code or URL on the front of the 「User Card Pre-Registration Meeting」 flyer to go to the application form page of the Ishikawa Prefecture e-Application System and enter the information by Thursday, June 23, 2012.
For a paper application, make a copy of the 「Ishikawa Prefectural Library User Card Application Form」 on the back of the 「User Card Pre-registration Meeting」 or download the 「User Card Application Form.xlsx」 or 「User Card Application Form.pdf」 from the New Ishikawa Prefectural Library website, and fill in the necessary information.
Bring it with you on the day of use.
Electronic application is recommended as it takes less time to receive the card on the same day.
For both applications, please bring identification such as a driver’s license, insurance card, or my number card.

Why not register in advance to avoid crowds after the library opens? The café (Ham and Go) is pre-opening, so you can take a breather after getting your new card!
Access to the New Ishikawa Prefectural Library
The new Ishikawa Prefectural Library has limited parking space, so public transportation is recommended: take the bus bound for 「Kanazawa Gakuin University」 from JR Kanazawa Station, get off at 「Odatsuno 3-chome」, and walk about 4 minutes.
