Ms. Rikono Takeda made a splash last October when she participated in the main competition of 「the 18th International Chopin Piano Competition」 in Warsaw, Poland. After graduating from high school, she studied at the National Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, and this was the second time she had competed in the Chopin Piano Competition since that time.
This 『Rikono Takeda Piano Recital 2022 Three-Year Series, Night 1: 「Love and Farewell」』 will feature the following chamber music performers: 1st violin: Akira Mizutani, 2nd violin: Sidre Ovskaite, 1st viola: Daniil Grishin, 2nd viola: Yoshiko Hannaka, cello viola, Sungjun Kim on cello, and Danielis Rubinas on contrabass.
Ms. Rikono Takeda is from Ishikawa Prefecture, Mr. Akira Mizutani is from Oita Prefecture, Ms. Yoshiko Hannawa is from Hiroshima Prefecture, Ms. Sidre Ovshkaite is from Ukraine, and the others are Russian-born orchestras from Riga, Latvia, the Republic of Lithuania, and Seoul, Korea. They performed 『Dedication』 by Schumann (Germany) and Liszt (Hungary), and pieces by Brahms (Germany) and Chopin (Poland).

She will appear as a piano soloist in the 『Onbun Kyokai Year-End Performance 60th Commemorative Performance for International Exchange of Music and Culture: Crowning Mass, Choral Fantasy, and The Magic Flute Overture』 at the Ishikawa Ongakudo on January 9, 2023 (Monday, national holiday).
Although no announcement has been made as to when this will be, expectations are high for the second and third installments of the 『Rikono Takeda Piano Recital 2022 Three-Year Series』.
