『Kanazawa Pride Week 2022』 will be held from September 16 (Fri.) to 19 (Mon.) under the theme of 「Let’s share smiles together with LGBTQ+ (sexual minorities) and allies (supporters)!」
In particular, on Sunday the 18th, 「Kanazawa Pride Parade 2022」 will be held on a larger scale than last year with approximately 300 people participating.Keiko Kojima and Bourbonne will MC the stage event before the departure ceremony, and special guest Rupert Campbell and various other guests will take the stage.
Keiko Kojima and Bourbonne participated in 『Kanazawa Pride』 last year as well.
Kanazawa Rainbow Pride Values Diversity
Kanazawa Rainbow Pride, the organizer of the event, strives to promote understanding of LGBTQ+ (sexual minorities) and gender equality in Kanazawa and the Hokuriku area, and aims to create a community where diversity is valued and everyone can live safely.
We have organized 「Kanazawa Rainbow Pride SDGs Tourism」 and opened 「Nijinoma Cafe」 at noon on the fourth Saturday of every month, and will hold 『Kanazawa Pride Week 2022』 again this year. On social networking sites, there are posts of the 「Kanazawa Pride Parade 2021」 that we held last year, and it is fun just to watch.
『Kanazawa Pride Week 2022』 also features LGBTQ+ film screenings
On Saturday the 17th, films such as 『Gender Marriage: The Same-Sex Marriage Trials that Shook the U.S.』 and 『I am me over the rainbow』 will be screened, and actor Chizuru Higashi will join the talk session as a guest.
On the same day, Keiko Kojima and Bourbonne will serve as MCs for a special edition of the 「Nijinoma Cafe」, a place to chat about LGBTQ+ and sexual diversity. And on Sunday the 18th, you can enjoy live performances by artists, food, drink, goods sales, and exhibition booths at the 「Kanazawa Pride Parade 2022」 event.
