Omicron strains have been spreading rapidly since the beginning of the New Year.
More and more prefectures are requesting prevention of the spread of the disease. Kanazawa City will also start sending out vaccination tickets.
First for those 65 and older; for those 64 and younger, the program is scheduled for March or later.
The third dose of the vaccine is available to persons 18 years of age or older who have already been vaccinated up to the second dose.
Until now, the interval between the second and subsequent inoculations has been eight months, but this rapid spread of infection has moved that up to six months.
It looks like the vaccination tickets will be sent out around March 20 to those who are 64 years old.
