Lower fares on buses and trains!　Weekday shopping with 「Return ticket」 【Kanazawa Topic】

The city center of Kanazawa is always crowded with cars, but did you know that you can get a ticket to save money by using public transportation?

Visitors who shop or dine over a certain amount during the day on weekdays at stores or shopping streets in Kanazawa’s city center will receive a 「return ride ticket」 on a first-come, first-served basis.

The stores covered by the program are Korinbo Yamato, Korinbo Atrio, Kanazawa Emza, Kanazawa Forus, Kanazawa Hyakubangai, and PREGO. The leaflets are also available at stores in the Kanazawa Tatemachi Shopping Arcade, Yokoyasuecho Shopping Arcade, Musashi Shopping Arcade, Owari-cho Shopping Arcade, and Omi-machi Ichiba Shopping Arcade.

The following transportation can be used: Hokuriku Railway Group trains, Kanazawa suburban route buses, highway buses on the Toyama and Takaoka routes, Kanazawa Castle Town Circuit buses, Nishinippon JR Bus route buses, and Kanazawa Flatto buses (not valid for express buses, regular sightseeing buses, or highway buses other than those listed above). It can be used when returning home from a store or shopping district, or for your next outing.

Some tickets are 100 yen and some are 300 yen, depending on the store and the amount of purchases. Multiple tickets can be combined, but in that case the tickets must be placed in the fare box so that the number of tickets can be checked. Payment for any shortfall can only be made in cash, and no change will be given even if the fare is lower. No refunds will be given, even if the fare is lower.

If you have a weekday off or a day off to relax with pay, why not check to see if there are any 「return ride tickets」 still left after shopping at the above stores and shopping streets? They seem to be easy to use since they have a long expiration date.
