「Yoshiko Hanzaki: Concert for Tomorrow 2022」 at Hokkoku Shimbun Akabane Hall in Minamimachi 【Kanazawa Event】

Many years ago, Yoshiko Hanzaki came to an event in the small town where I lived at the time.

The acoustics weren’t great, but I didn’t care. I thought she sang each lyric with great care.

A few months later, you were featured in a 「Fukaii-hanashi」 and became famous.

「The Shopping Mall Diva」 and 「Queen of Crying Songs」

She moved from Hokkaido to Tokyo at the age of 19 and continued to sing mainly in shopping malls until she made her major label debut at the age of 37.

Shoppers passing by by chance would stop to listen to her singing and one by one, they would become her fans. After 17 years of such, this late-blooming singer-songwriter has blossomed.

She was called the 「Queen of Crying Songs」 because she cries when she hears a song.

After the event, at the autograph session for CD purchasers, each person is treated with great care. That’s why it usually takes 3 to 4 hours. I know this because I have experienced it myself, but I think they use all their energy.

Even now, after winning the Wired Grand Prize for Newcomer of the Year and touring the country for concerts, he still seems to have the same attitude.

Ms. Hanzaki will return to Kanazawa again this year. I am looking forward to it.

There are many songs that touch my heart, but I think this one is the most representative.
