JA Kanazawa City received a cute calendar from JA Zen-Noh Gunma Dairy & Livestock Division.The two JAs began to collaborate through tweets, and finally received a rare calendar as a gift.
Who is the piggy on the calendar?
According to a tweet from the 『JA Zen-Noh Gunma Dairy and Livestock Production Division』, they were recently interviewed by the JA Zen-Noh Gunma PR magazine about the activities of the 「Hatsuratsu Pig Study Group」.
A man holding a calendar of piglets was in the photo, and he explained, 「I also had a perfect photo taken with my brother Kondo, who is in charge of JA-Nitta Midori pig farming (laugh)」.
The brand name of Jyoshu brand pork produced by the 「Hatsuratsu Pork Study Group」 consisting of producers in JA Nitta Midori’s area in Gunma Prefecture is called 「Hatsuratsu Pork」, and this calendar seems to be for it.
A relationship that began with watermelon scraps
JA Kanazawa City started selling 「watermelon kuzukiri」 using juice from Kanazawa watermelons in FY 2020 (from April 2020).
On August 7, 2021, 『JA Zen-Noh Gunma Dairy and Livestock Division』 tweeted, 「I made and posted a lassi with JA Kanazawa City watermelon kuzukiri…」 「At a store in Gunma, they sold JA Kanazawa City watermelon kuzukiri and I bought it on impulse and thought I must definitely make lassi♪」.
