The rose garden at Kanazawa Minami Sports Park (Togashi) is at its best.

The rose garden next to the Kanazawa Municipal Ballpark in Kanazawa Minami Sports Park is planted with about 1,800 roses of 146 varieties. This year, the roses started blooming on May 2 and are now quite close to full bloom. The best time to see the roses is from mid-May to early June, which is as usual.

In the rose garden, visitors can see a wide variety of roses with different colors, petal shapes, and even leaf colors. An iron plate is placed under the front of the roses, indicating the variety of rose and the country and year it was created. You can check what kind of roses are available by looking at the 「Rose Garden Blooming Information」 on the 「Kanazawa Sports Net」, the official website of the Kanazawa Sports Organization, and see a「map showing the arrangement of roses by variety」.

Roses, not only standard roses but also vines, were displayed in arches and along fences, creating a three-dimensional display. The arches were like a photo spot where many people took turns taking pictures.

There is also a fall rose season, from late September to mid-October, but spring has more flowers, as many varieties have larger flowers and bloom only to be pasted.
