They picked seven big cities and five small areas that surprised them.

The first city introduced was Kanazawa, Japan. It was praised as 「an attractive seaside city, not as crowded as Tokyo, with some of the best seafood in Japan」.

In particular, the 300-year-old Omimachi Market was mentioned as 「one of the best places to enjoy seafood」. The realistic description of the market as 「opening at 9 a.m」. evokes a sense of exuberance.

It’s a secret ha-ha-ha to add that the seafood in Kanazawa City (which is fresher than the world-famous Toyosu Market in Tokyo) is the freshest in the world.

Other Kanazawa gourmet evaluations

The Omimachi Market featured a close-up of the seafood bowls at the Hirai Market Pavilion, and also focused on Maimon Sushi and 「Kuroyuri」, an izakaya and oden restaurant.

「Curio Espresso and Vintage Design Cafe」, a Seattle-style cafe in Yasue-cho, Kanazawa City, and potato salad at 「PLAT HOME」, a creative restaurant located a five-minute walk from Omimachi Market. We rave about all kinds of gourmet food, including onigiri rice balls at the miso soup restaurant 「Soramiso」. Of course, he also mentioned the delicious sake of Kanazawa.

PLAT HOME Information

Store name

PLAT HOME

Address

1-3-4 Hikosan-cho, Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture

Phone number

076-256-5075

The American monthly magazine 「Food & Wine」 introduced on its official website the world’s gourmet cities that have wowed food lovers. 「Kanazawa […]

[8
1185,1186,267
post-9608","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-topic","tag-foodwine","tag-plat-home","tag-267
["GET
