Launched last June by the creative collective Konel, \u300cBWTC\u300d is a project that aims to purchase brain waves from citizens and use the data to make a fair profit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In light of the current situation where \u300ca variety of invisible data is traded unconsciously\u300d, they are seeking a new form of transaction to rethink the value of information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nowadays, when you use the Internet, smartphones, chat GPT, etc., your data is collected without your awareness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Compared to this, it is somewhat understandable that they are proudly conducting transactions by clearly stating that they will \u300cbuy brain waves\u300d and generate brain wave paintings with their own programs and sell them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brainwave Purchase Center Experiences<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Last year, \u300cBWTC Trade Week\u300d was held at \u300c3331 Arts Chiyoda\u300d, a cultural arts facility in Sotokanda, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, from July 30 (Sat) to August 7 (Sun).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the time, visitors to the exhibition tweeted a variety of impressions of the event. Some people bought brain waves and \u300creturned their brain wave data to real gold in a vending machine\u300d, while others bought brain waves for their family members and \u300cmaybe the youngest? At last year’s \u300cBWTC Trade Week\u300d, the goal was 100 seconds = 1,000 yen and up to 1 million yen, and \u300c1,000 people = 1 million yen worth of brain wave purchases\u300d was achieved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At this year’s Kanazawa event, June 17 and 18 will be the period of enhanced purchase, with 100 seconds = 1,000 yen, and the rest of the week will be the normal purchase period, with 100 seconds = 100 yen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
