The Maeda family was founded in the Warring States period by the warlord Maeda Toshiie, who built up the Kaga family of one million goku (one million stone) in his lifetime.<\/a> According to the website of the \u300eKanazawa Nohgaku Museum\u300f, the Maeda family of the Kaga domain, whose ancestors were the Toshiie family, spread Kanazawa Nohgaku to the common people as ceremonial music and dance for the warrior class, and this led to the unique development of Kaga Hosho, which is said to have been \u300ca place where songs fall from the sky\u300d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Akiko Hatsu, a manga artist from Kanazawa<\/strong>, Ishikawa Prefecture, known for her works such as \u300eUryudo Yumebanashi\u300f, \u300eFuruginuya Monyocho\u300f, and \u300eAraarakashiko\u300f, published in November 2021 \u300eGenyo Nohgaku Shu\u300f, a collection of Noh plays depicting the world of Noh.
