The Thunderbird and Shirasagi limited express trains, which have been popular for many years, are expected to be operated to Tsuruga Station following the discontinuation of the Hokuriku Line next spring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"460\" src=\"https:\/\/kanazawa.local-now.jp\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/osaka_keijiban_kaku_20230303-1024x460.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6928\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Electronic billboard at JR Osaka Station (image from \u300ekaku kaku_a20&#8217;s\u300f Instagram)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Thunderbirds are not being discontinued<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>JR West plans to discontinue the Hokuriku Line between Kanazawa (Ishikawa Prefecture) and Tsuruga (Fukui Prefecture) when the Hokuriku Shinkansen Line is scheduled to open in spring 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Thunderbird will stop between Osaka and Kanazawa, and the Shirasagi will stop between Nagoya and Kanazawa, and the Thunderbird will stop between Nagoya and Tsuruga.
