I love snowy nights because it makes for fantastic photos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What&#8217;s a \u300csnow hanging\u300d anyway?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>snow hanging is to reinforce tree branches by hanging or bundling them with ropes to prevent them from breaking under the weight of snow, and it is a winter tradition in Hokuriku and Tohoku regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are about 800 trees in Kenrokuen, including Karasaki pine trees, and it takes about a month and a half for the craftsmen to snow hanging all of them.
