Even if you do not know the name of Karma Ryofu<\/strong>, you may remember him as the strong-faced rapper in the AC Japan commercial \u300cTolerance Rap\u300d<\/strong>, in which he and an old lady \u300crespect\u300d each other by rapping in front of a cash register at a convenience store. A film casting Karma Ryofu is coming to Kanazawa after a long absence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u300cKanazawa Film Festival<\/strong>\u300d, which began in 2011 in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture, selected \u300eWhy Doesn’t My Cool Brother Make a Mud Mountain in the Park\u300f?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u300eAlien Painter<\/strong>\u300f, which was shot by director Hoya with the \u300cpromising new director scholarship\u300d rights, premiered at the \u300cTatemachi Rooftop Film Festival 2021\u300d organized by the Kanazawa Tatemachi shopping district, and the live performance was performed by Ryofu Karma, who also served as a cast member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u300eAlien Painter\u300f is a science fiction suspense film about the manga \u300cEmpty Dharma\u300d drawn by junior high school students. The characters in the manga include “Empty Dharma”, who rules the city with his freestyle preaching, and American spy George Watanabe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The film is so popular overseas that it was screened at the \u300cBUT film festival 2022\u300d in the Netherlands on September 4 following Korea, and it hit the Mini-Theatre Cinemonde from September 24 (Sat.) while being screened in various locations in Japan as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
