Last week, I think, I got word that a TV show was filming on location at Katamachi Kirara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So I did a little digging and found that it seems to be a recording of \u300cTabi Salada\u300d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I checked the official website and saw a preview (aired on February 26) that said \u300cTezuka Toru tours Kanazawa\u300d, so I guessed it might be a location shoot for that. Now let’s see if I’m right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A little \u300ctravel salada\u300d story.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The correct name of the program is \u300cAsa da! Nama desu tabi salad\u300d and the abbreviation is \u300cTabi Salad\u300d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has been on TV Asahi since April 1993. I was surprised at its longevity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first main MC was Mr.Hitoshi Kusano, who was replaced by Mr.Masateru Kanda in April 1997. The sub-MC has always been Ms.Aki Mukai. As a side note, I remember that Mr.Kanda never took a day off even after the news of Ms.Sayaka’s death, and he was so stout-hearted that it made me cry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I enjoy watching them because they introduce fascinating places and gourmet food both in Japan and abroad, and they make me think things like, “I want to go here someday,” or “Wow, that looks delicious, I want to eat there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It looks like the filming was done in front of the mobile van of \u300cthe world’s second best melon pan ice cream\u300d that came to Kanazawa Kirara.I wonder if it will be treated like a sweet that originated in Kanazawa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The melon bread is baked for less than 25 minutes, and the ice cream is sandwiched between the bread and ice cream upon order, making it crispy on the outside and smooth and exquisitely delicious on the inside.A texture like no other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It started appearing in the media around 2014.All of the stores had long lines every day, but as time went by, they went downhill and the main store in Hirosaka will close in March 2021. There are currently four permanent stores in Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They plan to strengthen their mobile storefront in the future. I hope this location will be an opportunity for them to make a great leap forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
